Boss Method™
Originator: Omar Lateef Thomas (LateEFX). The story-first directing framework that forces a short cinematic sequence to have character, setting, action, physical logic, cinematic perspective, transformation, continuity, emotion, resolution — and a memorable final image. It is not a replacement for PPMethod™; it decides what must happen before PPMethod™ decides how it must look.
The canonical ten questions
Preserved exactly as authored — never rewritten, paraphrased, or reordered.
- WHO IS PRESENT?
- WHERE ARE THEY?
- WHAT HAPPENS?
- HOW DOES IT HAPPEN?
- HOW DOES THE CAMERA EXPERIENCE IT?
- WHAT TRANSFORMS?
- WHAT REMAINS CONSTANT?
- WHAT IS THE EMOTIONAL ESCALATION?
- WHERE DOES THE SEQUENCE RESOLVE?
- WHAT IMAGE DOES THE AUDIENCE REMEMBER?
How to use it
For a 10–15 second video, answer each question in one concise production clause. Then compose a single coherent shot — or short sequence — with an unmistakable beginning, a change, and a payoff.
In the operational chain, Boss Method™ comes first: it establishes story and emotional sequence. PPMethod™ follows to specify visual and physical execution; S.T.A.P.E. audits the result; BLEUEBLUSH™ may translate it into color where appropriate.
